Greg Zulim's 31 Model A Coupe
Greg Zulim is one off the most talented individuals within the hot rod industry. Not often do you find someone who can literally do it all. Greg can, and he does. He runs Double Z Hot Rods and builds a number of hot rods every year for customers. This story does not revolve around a customer car, but it focuses on his own. His 31 Model A Coupe has been his since he was 15. The car has been painted by him over 20 times and has had many different power plants in it since he was in high school. It is a true hot rod and has been made over as times and styles change. The latest rendition of the car will be the last. Taking almost 14 years to complete, the A-bomb looks nothing like a stock Model A. The extent of the body mods are unbelievable. The top has been chopped and restyled to resemble a deuce. The doors have been flush fit, hinges and all, to achieve a sleeker look down the body. The Front fenders were reshaped, as were the back, to achieve his desired look. A deuce tank was added and new frame installed. The motor is one of the more impressive parts of the car. It is a Buick Nailhead that is blown with two fours. The motor is shoe horned under the hood and is detailed beautifully. Greg made the headers and exhaust and did all the motor work himself. The paint was applied inside, out, and under the car. Greg did all the body work and paint. The car is truly stunning and you will know when he is coming before you see him. Take a look at the picture gallery.
