June 1st had all the makings for a great event and then mother nature decided to crank up
the heat to 104 degrees. Being a new event promoter and not knowing how the local hot rod community would react, I was sceptical that not many hot rods would show up. However, to my surprise 391 cars showed up and packed the Park Place Shopping Center for the third month in a row. A ton on ventors where on hand and the RaceRoom brought out their race car simulators and gave the enthusiasts a chance to try their luck at some of the worlds toughest road coarses. Granville Homes stole the show though as they brought out their massive movie screen and showed "American Graffiti". If that wasn't enough they also purchased a radio station for the night that allowed people to sit inside thier cars and enjoy the sound of the movie come through the air waves. The event went into the wee hours of the night and I would have to honestly say that this Rods on the Bluff event exceeded all of my expectations. We'll see everybody on July 6th as MoFo Party Band takes the stage and entertains us all evening.
